The SO REAL project is so far largest trial investigating the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in the treatment of social anxiety disorder. Overall, the project will contribute with knowledge about the efficacy and feasibility of treating social anxiety with VR exposure

Phase 11 is part of a larger study called The Danish High Risk and Resilience Study, focusing on understanding how upbringing and genetics affect children’s mental health. Khora created a Virtual Reality simulation using 3D avatars and Motion Capture technology to depict a controlled bullying scenario.”

Creating a custom-made VR game that enables more engaging exercises for citizens suffering from cerebral palsy, with the goal of investigating whether the VR game can have a positive impact on the amount of exercise and can lead to long-term improvement in citizens’ motor skills.

This research addresses auditory hallucination challenges in schizophrenia. The CHALLENGE project employs novel virtual reality avatar therapy, enabling direct dialogue with troubling voices. Patients create avatars resembling sources of hallucinations, gradually reducing their impact. Tested in Danish regions, this randomized trial could enhance outpatient psychiatric care.

The Dialogue study is the first of its kind to investigate the effect of 7 sessions of VR-based therapy in which the patient engages in a dialogue with the “eating disorder voice”.This treatment approach has proven highly effective in treating auditory hallucinations in psychosis. We expect VR-treatment to be able to significantly improve symptoms, functioning, and quality of life along with being cost-effective.

The effects of a virtual reality-assisted exposure therapy for persistent auditory hallucinations versus supportive counselling in people with psychosis: study protocol for a randomized clinical trial.

Testing the feasibility of using VR to screen pregnant women for postpartum depression, with the aim of identifying women who are at risk of developing postpartum depression, so that an intervention can be initiated.

This study explores how virtual reality (VR) games can assist children aged 4 to 7 during medical procedures like needles. We’re comparing VR with usual methods like numbing cream and tablet/smartphone games.

The purpose of this experiment is to investigate whether these virtual reality-based experiences are effective in reducing the use of necessity-based medication and coercive measures in a psychiatric department, as well as whether they can reduce stress/discomfort and increase satisfaction with a psychiatric hospitalization.

This study explores emotion regulation in bipolar disorder (BD) and unaffected relatives (UR) using a unique approach – a virtual reality (VR) task.

The iSCAN project PhD student Fatime Zeka is examining gaze behaviour in social anxiety disorder (SAD) using a virtual reality eye-tracking paradigm. The aim of the project is to examine whether gaze behavior is a behavioral marker for SAD and to examine the potential of VR eye-tracking as an objective screening tool for SAD that may aid early detection.

Khora Care is a solution with the purpose of enhancing the life quality of elderly people and individuals with dementia through Virtual Reality experiences.

Remote and hybrid work will certainly be part of most work practices, but what should these future work practices look like? Should we merely attempt to fix what we already have or can we be bolder and design a different kind of future workplace? Together with companies, this project seeks a vision of the future that integrates hybrid work experiences.
