The Forest That Breathes Us is an immersive Virtual Reality experience that immerses participants into the forests of the Pacific Northwest, where the Kwakwaka’wakw People have coexisted in balance with the land and its rich ecosystem for generations.

Forest ecologist Dr. Suzanne Simard guides the participants through a journey that reveals the forest as a living, intelligent network, where trees communicate, remember, and form interdependent relationships with other species. Through the eyes and senses of a douglas fir, a coyote, and a humpback whale, the experience explores nature beyond the human perspective, inciting us to reconsider our place in the world and aiming to recognise other beings as kin, collaborators, and co-creators of life on Earth.
