The Challenge
The Gobelinfestival at Christiansborg Slot sought to celebrate 25 years of cultural memory, weaving together history, art, and craft. The challenge was to create a digital experience that not only showcased the rich tradition of tapestry weaving but also engaged festival guests in a meaningful way, allowing them to contribute their own memories and reflections.

The Task
Khora was invited to design and implement an interactive installation that would capture the collective memories of the attendees. The task was to develop a digital tapestry that evolved throughout the festival weekend, where guests shared their most defining memories from the last 25 years, creating a visual representation of collective experience.

The Solution
The solution was “Vi husker sammen,” an interactive digital tapestry that allowed visitors to submit their memories and vote on the most impactful events from the past quarter-century. Through AI technology, these contributions were woven into the final tapestry, creating a living, evolving artwork. The project blended tradition with innovation, honoring the past while engaging present-day visitors in a creative, collaborative experience.
