Client: NEAD Centre – Neurocognition and Emotion in Affective Disorders, Mental Health Services in the Capital Region of Denmark

Target Medium: Khora Exposure

Challenge: NEAD, focuses on the understanding, prevention, and treatment of cognitive impairments and affective disorders, and wanted to test how Virtual Reality could be used to improve cognitive skills, including memory.

Solution: The Cognitive Memory Game takes you through the streets of Copenhagen in virtual reality, where they are shown images associated with American states at specific locations. The experience is designed to stimulate the player’s memory and memorization of the American states through the cognitive technique of Loci Mnemonic. Positive results from the prototype have led to a desire to further develop the project to include training of additional cognitive skills.
