Task: In Skanderborg Kommune the Department of social psychiatry and employment have observed that some of their citizens can feel uncomfortable about attending rehabilitation meetings with the municipality’s rehabilitation team. This is a major issue, as the citizens ideally should take an active part in these meetings and be assertive, which is challenging if the citizens are too anxious regarding the outcome.    

Solution: Khora Virtual Reality and Skanderborg Kommune have in collaboration created a simulated meeting experience in virtual reality, where the citizens can experience what happens before during, and after these meetings. The aim is that citizens will feel more comfortable and ultimately have a better experience which is central for their further rehabilitation process.

This project is a prime example of how virtual reality, can be used to encounter concrete challenges in the social sector.​
